An e-consult is most effective for queries that can be resolved without the need to speak to a GP/Nurse. Commonly this could be for:

• Administrative queries e.g. referrals (already in process)
• Contraception – You will need to submit a blood pressure, weight and height – which can all be measured by a machine at Reception
• Medication queries – but NOT for Repeat Prescription Requests – please click here for repeat medications.
• Private referrals
• Request for blood tests for known conditions or medications
• Sick notes

If you think your query will require you to speak to a GP, we would advise instead to book a telephone consultation, to prevent any delays in dealing with your query. 

E-consults are not helpful if you or a child are unwell or require urgent advice – please call reception and ask to speak to the duty doctor for urgent health matters. 

Please do not use e-consult to request an appointment – you will be asked to contact reception or book it on-line. 

E-consults are not available during the weekend (18:30 Friday –  08:00 Monday) – during this time you may wish to contact 111 online for any urgent medical queries.
