Make An Appointment

How To Obtain Telephone Advice?

If you need to speak to a doctor for medical advice, please ring before 11.30am and leave your details with one of the reception team . A doctor will return your call as soon as possible. If the doctor you wish to speak to is not available and the matter is urgent, the Duty Doctor  for that particular day will return your call.


How To Make An Appointment?

  • Telephone 0203 049 6600 The telephone lines are open from 8am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday
  • In person during Reception Opening Hours as listed above
  • Via Internet.

Please ask one of our reception team who will assist you to register for online bookings. If your preference would be online booking please see one of the reception team for the appropriate access forms. Once processed you will be able to access appointments, repeat prescriptions & some of your medical records.

 

Emergencies

If you think you have an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the next available appointment, you will be seen by the duty doctor, who will assess your condition, between 8.30am and 10.00am, Monday to Friday - 020 3049 6600.

Emergency Clinic: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 10.00am
    
Practice Nurses (By Appointment Only):
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 1.00pm and 3.00pm - 6.00pm
Friday: 8.00am - 1.00pm and 3.00pm - 6.20pm

 

Consultations 

Consultations are usually 10 minutes long and can be booked using one of the above methods.Some problems do take longer than others, so if a surgery does not run on time, please be a patient patient . 

If you are unable to attend your booked appointment please remember to cancel it


To Cancel an appointment

This can be easily achieved by either

  • calling the practice
  •  leaving a message on the dedicated cancellations line
  • Sending CANCEL to our SMS text messaging service.

If you are late arriving for your appointment you may be asked to re-book .

The practice recognises the right of the patient to choose a named healthcare professional for general treatment.

If you are unable to obtain an appointment convenient to you via the online access service, please contact the surgery direct as we have a limited availability for online access.

Please be aware that not all GP's appointments are available online.

If you cannot obtain an appointment online please contact the reception team who will assist as other appointments are available.

Nursing appointments are not available online

Private Appointments

Private consultations are avialable at the Clapham Family Practice. For an appointment please call 020 3049 6600 (Option 5). Due to NHS contract with our registered patients we are unable to offer this service to those who are already regsitered with us. Please be aware that certain Travel Vaccinations fall under the private fees category even for patients that are registered with our practice.

 

How do I Obtain A Home Visit?

Home visits are made to the housebound and patients who are genuinely too ill to attend the surgery. Please give the receptionists as much information as possible as it helps the doctors to assess the urgency of the problem. Patients are requested to telephone before 12.30pm if a visit is required that day.

 

How do I Obtain Test Results?

For test results you should call our results line, 020 3049 6600 (Option 3), this service is available  between 2.00pm and 3.30pm, Monday - Friday. When you undergo any test it is your responsibility to contact us for the result.
