Important information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Tues 17th March The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff whilst maintaining services to the public. This is a rapidly evolving situation and all the latest national guidance and information on symptoms of Coronovirus infection can be found on nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ or  www.england.nhs.uk/Coronavirus/primary-care

Do not come to the surgery if you have a raised temperature or a new continuous coughSelf-isolate at home and check the above link for the latest information. Please do not inform the surgery that you are self-isolating. Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home; your condition gets worse; or your symptoms do not get better after 14 days. government advice  for households with possible coronavirus infection. The surgery has made significant changes to all services that we offer.  As per government guidelines we must minimize the number of people entering the surgery to the greatest extent possible. This is to protect patients and to try to reduce the number of medical staff who need to self-isolate at one time.  In view of this the following measures have been takenDO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS INSTRUCT TO BY A MEMBER OF STAFF

1.The Emergency Walk in Clinic is closed from Wednesday 18th March. Please ring the practice 02030496600 and we will arrange for a doctor to call you back for urgent problems and arrange to see you the same day if needed.

2.The Clapham Manor Street Surgery is closed temporarily from Wednesday 18th  March. The telphone lines will be diverted to the main site

3.Booking AppointmentsFollowing guidance from NHS England to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus the practice will no longer be offering face to face GP appointments until further notice. Patients will be offered a telephone consultation instead by calling 020 3049 6600 or alternatively you can submit an online consultation (eConsult) here. You will receive a response to your eConsult by the end of the next working day so this is not suitable for urgent problemsTelephone consultations can be booked presently online via Patient Access.

4. If you have an urgent medical problem (that is not a cough or a fever) please telephone the surgery to arrange for a call back. If the GP needs to see you they will make the booking after a call.

5. We are still booking practice nurse appointments for: childhood vaccinations, injections, dressings and stitch removal. It is very important to continue routine immunisations for children, we cannot afford to have outbreaks of measles, mumps, rubella etc while the health system is responding to COVID-19 .Our phone lines are likely to be very busy. Please keep trying to get through if you need to speak to us. Keep calls as brief as possible so that other patients can get through.
